Some choose to have their garage door converted over to a standard torsion spring system because of the longer life spring options. A conversion from a Torque Master system requires more parts and labor than from an EZ-Set system due to the need for a new shaft. | |

EZ-Set torsion springs can be replaced with springs for the same system, or your door can be converted over to a standard torsion spring system. If you have a Wayne Dalton system, you will receive new Torque Master Springs. If you have a Clopay EZ-Set system, you normally receive pre-stretched aftermarket springs that are as good as the springs sold by Clopay. If you would rather, you can instead have more expensive Clopay springs installed on your garage door. In addition to having new springs installed on your garage door, you will also receive a general inspection of your garage including the hinge basic operation of the door. | |

| The bottom of the spring is secured to an adjusting bolt which is fastened to a door jamb bracket. The top of the spring has a loop or a clip positioned over a large pivot pin or bolt.
